Introduction

This trip to Myrtle Beach was from November 11 through 17, 2009 with the primary purpose being to attend the 15th Annual Carolina Beach Music Awards and enjoy the many related activities occurring in that period. In some respects we probably over enjoyed ourselves with way too many late night - make that early morning - bedtimes.  After this trip we felt like we needed another to do nothing but just relax and rest (and as out of character as that might be, we keep promising ourselves we'll do just that one of these first days).  We did have one glorious afternoon when we spent several hours doing nothing but sitting by ourselves on a deck by the beach talking and staring out at the ocean - much more of that would indeed be nice and most welcomed.

However, let there be no doubt, as busy as we were, we had a wonderful time.

Again, in recognition and consideration of our readers' various interests in our write-ups, we've divided this one into two major segments.  Those of you beginning with our general activities involving topics such as the travel, weather, accommodations, and dining can easily move to the next major segment or skip to the photo album for the trip without returning to this introductory page.  And, of course, there's the ever present Table of Contents which provides an easy means to go directly to specific topics of interest.
