Sea-Cruz

No, we didn't see them on this trip but most assuredly were thinking about them.  At that time they were cruising around the Caribbean on a wine theme tour for which they were the headline artists.  Dino Fair's wife, Debbi, and Butch Barnes' friend, Susan Stacy, had tried mightily to get us to do the cruise with them and we wanted to do so, but Sandra's schedule just wouldn't permit it.  We very much wanted them to visit a friend of ours, Deepti Mohnani, at her jewelry store, DK Gems International, on St. Martin.  Fact of the matter was Debbi and Susan were insistent we make a personal connection for them with DK Gems after they had noted firsthand some of the jewelry Sandra had obtained there including custom pieces made specially for her.

Subsequently we've heard accounts from various parties that the visit with Deepti was a huge success not to mention much fun.  She had a banner made and displayed on the shop front acknowledging their visit and laid on a champagne party for them.  How did we do guys in connecting you with a great jewelry store and some terrific people?

Sea-Cruz:  Dino, Molly and Butch

Apart from the special reception we gather that as usual the prices were right and lots of pretty sparkling baubles were bought.  We thought it totally ironic that by happenstance the Sea-Cruz crew met two shoppers there we consider to be friends, Norm and Betty Oppliger from St. Louis.  Part of the irony is we've never met but literally for years we have corresponded and together have participated in the TTOL travel forum devoted to St. Martin.  Small world.

Be sure to see the additional pictures from the Sea-Cruz visit to DK Gems in our photo album section which follows this write-up.  Thanks Deepti for taking such good care of our friends and we hope you're enjoying the Sea-Cruz T-shirt with which we understand you were presented.  Just wish we could have shared in all the fun, but at least Sandra wasn't tempted to make another of her spontaneous mega-buck acquisitions.  Maybe next year.

Conclusion

You would think it hard to rattle on so about a four day, three night trip to Myrtle Beach, but we're notorious for doing such and have, no doubt, met expectations in that respect.  Congratulations and a big "Well done!" to those who have persevered to this point.  Clearly, we do enjoy sharing our experiences.

But we're not quite through yet.  Click on the link below if you would like to see more pictures from our trip.
